On Friday I ran in the Tel Aviv half a marathon, and as a result there is a picture of me on the web right now that I don’t own. So as I was researching the copyright laws in Israel I stumbled upon this interesting story about melancholy elephants by Spider Robinson. It rings too true. And apparently the picture of me is not mine, since I didn’t commission it, so I can only buy it, and even then I probably won’t have distribution rights, like the right to put it on my facebook account. Here is a ynet review of the new copyright law in Israel (2007).
